Cornus alba ‘Elegantissima’ (Variegated Red Twig Dogwood) is similar to other Cornus alba species with red twigs but featuring variegated leaves. It is a medium-sized shrub that can reach 3m high. Vigorous and very adaptable, it forms a thicket of upright, deep red stems that has great interest in winter. The white-margined leaves make this a great shrub to contrast in the garden with darker or colorful plants. The flowers are white and small producing white berries.
