The following autumn the cuttings are in this state. We can see that they haven’t grown much the aerial part, but the most important thing is that they have developed good roots.

We see roots coming out of the drainage holes, which is a good sign.
Turn the pot upside down and take the plants out. Notice how it has a lot of fine and healthy roots.

We easily separate each cutting and plant them individually in small growing pots. Here, we use a generic potting compost, with organic matter that drains well.

We water well so that the soil settles perfectly in the roots. Then, I put them to grow in the nursery.
