How to divide coneflower (Echinacea purpurea)

Plant each division

From one plant I got four small plants with the necessary size to grow and develop into robust individual plants during the year.

I fill each pot with soil and plant each new division.

Complete with more soil so that the roots are well accommodated and covered.

Now, each plant has its own independent pot to grow.

Finally, I water well and place the pots in a sheltered place outside until they show signs of growth.

From there, they can be slowly fertilized and placed in sunnier locations. Later in the summer they can be replanted in the garden bed.

Update: Here is a picture of them growing two months after division.
