Cultivation
Intact plants usually do not attract cats, they are attracted to plants that have been cut or whose leaves have been scrubbed and can be destroyed by felines. Thus, this plant may need protection against cats, especially when it is still underdeveloped.
Harvesting
The leaves and branches can be harvested when necessary in plants that have reached at least 20 cm in height. The leaves are more aromatic when flowering takes place. Although they can be dried to be stored for long periods, the aroma and flavor are more intense in fresh leaves and branches. The effect on cats is also greater with the fresh herb.
